From humble beginnings in rural South Georgia, Pastor Mike Dorough has been passionately proclaiming the Word of God with the voice of a prophet and the heart of a pastor for thirty years. A graduate of Crisp County High School in Cordele, GA, the University of Georgia in Athens, and Liberty University Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA, Mike has served as a Student Pastor, Lead Pastor and Evangelist. He has been married to his bride Julie since 1988. They have two grown children, John Michael and Holly Ann. After serving almost seven years as a Youth Pastor in Lynchburg, Virginia, Mike returned to his home state and served as Student Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins for eighteen years. After serving a season as a traveling evangelist, Mike served as Lead Pastor of Riverbend Baptist Church in Gainesville for over two years. He has led mission trips to Russia, Germany, Poland, Brazil, and Nicaragua, in addition to mission trips throughout the eastern United States. In November 2011, Mike co-led a Conference for pastors in Caraguatatuba, Brazil.

Dealing with Depression
The modern world seems to be cultivating depression and anxiety at new levels. We receive many different messages from many different places on how to deal with the pain and brokenness of these conditions. However, we believe that the Gospel also speaks into the brokenness of our lives and can bring additional hope and healing to those who are hurting.
