“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
— Matthew 28:19-20

We’re building a culture of discipleship at Shirley Hills.

A disciple is a follower of Jesus who lives in biblical community and is committed to becoming more like Him through obeying, serving and sharing Him with others. Disciples are made by an intentional process of mature believers helping younger believers to step across – and stay across – that discipleship line. It’s a repeatable process that continually creates mature believers who disciple others.

Discipleship groups train us to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ so that we may make an impact on Middle Georgia, the state, and around the world. We believe that this is best done in relational groups where biblical disciples can be made and further developed. Every fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ needs strong relationships with fellow believers.

Groups meet together regularly. They do a study together, and prayer is a key element of each group
